Urmston Market has many fans: of the emails and comments Urmston Independents receives, the market is the number one topic. People in Urmston love the market but there’s no doubt that the drop-off in stallholders and reduction in footfall over recent years has resulted in a catch 22 situation that has, at times, threatened the market’s very survival.
So what is new for Urmston Market in 2014?
Firstly, the market will be running a Vintage and Crafts market on Saturday, 22nd February 2014. With plans to run the event monthly it’s hoped that the vintage and crafts angle will draw in new customers as well as those old customers who haven’t been down to Urmston Market for a while.
If you are a vintage or craft fan planning to come from outside Urmston for the market’s Vintage and Craft fair, do visit Mrs M Vintage on Flixton Road as well – you won’t be disappointed.
Urmston Market needs YOU on Facebook and Twitter
If you are on Facebook and/ or Twitter you can now show your affection for Urmston Market and spread the word about their upcoming projects. Whether you are socially networked or reliant on carrier pigeons, do let people know that Urmston Market is on the up.
All the market’s regular stalls will still be running on the 22nd, so you can still buy some lucious fruit from Barnes’, a splendid bouquet from the florist or some spare parts for your washing machine or vacuum cleaner from Appliance Spares (because even your washing machine deserves a little treat from time to time!).
